Treatment Options

Treatment Options

We offer several advanced radiation therapy techniques to treat cancer with precision and effectiveness:

Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

A high-precision radiation technique that allows for modulation of radiation doses to spare healthy tissues.

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT)

Delivers high doses of radiation to small, well-defined tumors in fewer treatment sessions.

Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)

Volumetric Modulated Arc Therapy (VMAT)

A form of IMRT that delivers radiation in a 360-degree arc, enhancing treatment speed and precision.

Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)

Image-Guided Radiation Therapy (IGRT)

Uses real-time imaging to ensure precise delivery of radiation.

Brachytherapy

Brachytherapy

Internal radiation treatment, particularly effective for cancers such as prostate and cervical cancer.

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)

Intraoperative Radiation Therapy (IORT)

Administers radiation during surgery, particularly useful for breast and gastrointestinal cancers.

Our Approach to Treatment

We offer several advanced radiation therapy techniques to treat cancer with precision and effectiveness:

Personalized Treatment Plans

Personalized Treatment Plans

Radiation treatment plans are developed based on detailed imaging, tumor location, and cancer type, ensuring optimal targeting and minimal impact on surrounding tissues.

Multidisciplinary Collaboration

What does NOVALIS Certified mean?

What does NOVALIS Certified mean?

Novalis Certified is an independent certification program for stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT) based on international standards and publications of various radiation oncology institutions including ASTRO and the IAEA. This program promotes the delivery of cranial and body radiosurgery at a level of efficacy and safety commensurate with high standards of clinical practice.

For Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS) and Stereotactic Body Radiation Therapy (SBRT) it’s important to mention the following technology in addition to the Versa HD system that already mentioned before:

HexaPOD evo RT

HexaPOD evo RT

  • Robotic positioning system with six degrees of freedom
  • Achieve sub-millimetric accuracy

ExacTrac Dynamic

Key Features

  • Merging surface & X-Ray tracking
  • Thermal surface tracking

ExacTrac Dynamic is an advanced patient positioning and monitoring system that enhances precision in radiation therapy. Combining surface-guided and X-ray-based imaging, it enables real-time tracking with sub-millimeter accuracy, ensuring optimal patient alignment and motion management. This state-of-the-art technology is particularly beneficial for treating complex cases, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) and stereotactic body radiation therapy (SBRT), where precision is critical. At Burjeel Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology Department, our integration of ExacTrac Dynamic with Versa HD System allows us to deliver safer, more effective treatments while prioritizing patient comfort and outcomes.
